GIMP 2.6.2 Released

The GIMP development team has made another bug-fix release in the stable GIMP 2.6 series. The NEWS file lists the changes in GIMP 2.6.2. The source can be downloaded from ftp.gimp.org. Binary packages for the various supported platforms should become available soon; please check the Downloads section.
GIMP is an acronym for GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed program for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring.
It can be used as a simple paint program, an expert quality photo retouching program, an online batch processing system, a mass production image renderer, an image format converter, etc.
GIMP is expandable and extensible with plug-ins and extensions that will allow you to do just about anything.
