This is the first post that will open our new MONDAY Specials section, a section in which, every monday we will review some of the best softwares and games that can be bought or downloaded from the Internet. This week we will list ten of the best freeware games created upon the open source CUBE engine and distributed freely for FPS fans from all over the world.

CUBE engine: Some gamers have played them, some didn’t. There are a few freeware games build on this open-source engine. Cube, AssaultCube or Sauerbraten are three of the best games based on these sources (cube and cube2), classic multiplayer FPS’s with both multi and single player capabilities.

1.CUBE. This is the first game developed and released freely, based on this engine, a Quake like FPS that runs on a variety of operating systems including MS Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X and even Pocket PC with 3D acceleration. There are 37 SP (SinglePlayer) maps and 65 DM (DeathMatch) maps, for a total of 102 maps all together.

2.Assault Cube:This is another game based on Cube engine, a complete modification of the base game, similar to classics such as Unreal and Quake and with a gameplay that will certainly be appreciated by Counter Strike fans. In comparison to other games, AssaultCube is slower than Quakebut faster than CS. The two fictional teams in the game are the Cubers Liberations Army (CLA) and the Rabid Viper Special Forces (RVSF).

3.SAUERBRATEN:This is one of the best games in the series, based upon the next generation of Cube engine, Cube2. The game currently has singleplayer and multiplayer modes. Multiplayer functionality is possible with LAN, Local, and Internet play, which gets its server data from a master server. Online offers deathmatch, last man standing, and “capture the flag” gameplay. The Cube 2 engine features numerous improvements to its predecessor, one of these improvements is the real time editing engine, which enables user to edit and create new levels and expand the game.

Enemy Territory – Quake Wars is facing a lot of intense competition in the realm of online PC multi player shooting games. Of course there is nothing better then when it comes to going head to head with some remotely connected people. You tend to get a sick sense of satisfaction when you can track down a exotically named player whom has been making your game life a living hell and reducing that character to a convulsing scared twit.

Instead of finding yourself lying down or dying a countless number of times like in other multi player shooter games. You can feel more comfortable in knowing that because of the sophisticated A.I. with the bots, dying will not be a commonoccurrence and you can more fully enjoy the game play as well.

How to make gold in world of warcraft by questing is easy to do. The best way is to power level your character as fast as you can. As you reach level 50 onwards there is much gold to be made. The professions offer a way to make as much gold as possible. For example, combine jewelcrafting with mining and see the gold really roll in!

Grinding is a really easy way to make as much gold as you can. Believe it or not this is exactly how Chinese gold farming is operated. With grinding you do not have to do quests and though this is much more boring if you can stand the boredom leveling up this way is much faster. Do make sure that when you grind you do so in areas where you kill a lot of humanoids opponents as they provide the best drops in the form of textiles and green and blues which are very valuable and will provide you with much gold when sold at the auction house. This is how much of the gold that you can buy from farmers is gathered and most of them use bots to perform these grinding tasks.
